Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakaatuh

Who am I?

My name is Farida. I am a UK-based qualified teacher with Tajweed certification from Saudi Arabia; of the seven recitation methods (Riwaya), I teach Tajweed according to Hafs 'An 'Aasim. In the past 8 years I have taught many ladies, young and old, with great success. MashaaAllah! They have improved their knowledge and understanding of Tajweed rules, as well as learning to recite the Quran accurately. You can read the testimonials to find out more.

In addition to teaching Tajweed, I have over 25 years of teaching experience in a wide variety of subjects including Science, Maths and English language to adults. My extensive knowledge of teaching methods has benefitted my students greatly, and I pay attention to the needs of the individual. I am confident that you will also enjoy learning Tajweed through my various methods.

What is different about my teaching?

Over the many years of teaching I have developed my own set of methods to help you achieve the greatest results in the shortest time. And that is why I am confident in offering to teach you Tajweed in just 24 hours of study-time. It is my aim to make Tajweed easy and accessible to all my Muslim sisters.
 

Many of my past students came to me barely able to read whole words or stuttering their way through ayaats. Alhamdulillah, almost all of them have gone on to memorise surahs and some are now learning to teach others. It is a highly valuable life-long skill to gain, and the benefits of learning and teaching put us among the best of Muslims, inshaaAllah.

I am here to teach you how to improve your Tajweed to the next level. If your past experience of learning the Qur'an has left you with no enthusiasm for the subject, I promise to change that for you, inshaaAllah.
