Is it sinful to read the Quran without knowing Tajweed?
No, it does not categorically say that anywhere. However, imagine learning a foreign language without taking the time to learn the sounds correctly. It would be meaningless to have a conversation where the other person does not understand what you say. Whenever we stand to pray or make Dua, we are having a private conversation with Allah SWT, our Lord. Of course, He is able to understand any language that we speak to Him in Arabic but we do not want to be making meaningless sounds.

Can I still learn Tajweed even if I am not good at learning languages?
Absolutely, yes! Allah SWT states in the Quran that He has made the Quran easy for us to learn. If you take a step in the right direction, He SWT will make it easy for you.

Can I still learn Tajweed even if I don’t have a great voice?
Most certainly, yes! In fact, when you learn and practise reciting the Quran with Tajweed you will discover your best recitation voice. Many of my students were very happily surprised when they ‘found’ their recitation voices, something they were sure was beyond them.

Will I be able to recite like my favourite Qaari or Sheikh at the end of this course?
If you want to practice the same style as the Qaari, sure you can. You will certainly be able to read with the accuracy that Sheikhs do. You are more likely to enjoy discovering the mystery Qaari voice in you.

Why can’t I learn Tajweed by watching YouTube videos?
You can learn the theory from books and video instructions. However, you need a teacher to listen and tell you if the sounds you are making are correct. Your teacher will guide your learning to improve your recitation and understanding of the Quran.

Is it truly possible to learn Tajweed in just 24 hours?
Yes, it is. All of your learning will take place in the 24 hours of contact time with me. Should you wish to supplement your studies in your own time, I will provide relevant reference materials for your benefit.

How does the course work?
Teaching is via Skype so you will need access to a WiFi connection. All the teaching is done directly by me. Additional support is provided via WhatsApp, so access to a smartphone is useful. You will be given a short list of course materials. The cost is very minimal and can be bought online very easily. In fact, you may already have them at home.

What exactly will I learn on the course?
This will vary according to your individual requirements. Please visit the 'Tajweedin24 Courses' page. You will have the opportunity to increase your general understanding of the Quran, and learn common vocabulary through meanings of Surahs. In addition to these benefits, you will be introduced to memorisation techniques, which you can do as little or as much as you wish to.

Why is this course not free?
We all know that when something is given to us for free, we do not value it as much as when we pay for it. By paying for the course you will be more motivated to stay committed. Also, think of the last big purchase you made. Can you take it to the hereafter with you? Every letter of the Qur'an you recite correctly and beautifully will be recorded in your Book of Deeds. Surely that is something worth investing money and time for.

When and how do I pay?
Once you receive an email confirmation of your enrolment, you pay upfront before the course starts. There is an option to pay in two equal instalments, one before your first lesson and the other, in week six.

So, exactly what am I paying for?
Firstly, all that you learn is yours to keep, forever both in Dunya and Akhirah. Secondly, you will be learning from a highly dedicated, experienced and successful teacher, MashaaAllah. Thirdly, you will benefit from a personally tailored program where you learn at a pace that’s right for you. And finally, you will receive additional support between each lesson via WhatsApp, with supplementary reference materials as well connecting with other students.

Can I quit/cancel if I don’t make progress or don’t enjoy the course?
Yes. Cancellation of your course is ONLY accepted after you have completed the first hour of learning. You will be charged £35 for that hour. The rest of your payment will be refunded.
If you decide to cancel later on in the course, an additional cancellation fee of £100 will be charged, and your remaining money will be refunded. This is because places are limited to 18 students only, and learning the Quran requires you to commit yourself. But, don't worry, the FREE 20-minute CONSULTATION will help you decide if the Tajweedin24 course is right for you.

If an hour a week is not enough, can I get extra help?
Yes, additional support is provided via WhatsApp outside of weekly sessions, to ask any questions you may have. My teaching is tailor-made with full feedback so you will notice your own progress immediately. Just like with learning anything, patience and practice are the keys to your success.
